Mount Charles

The Great MC Charity Bake Off 2025 returned to Mount Charles this week, and it was our biggest and most successful event yet.

Now a much-loved annual tradition, the Bake Off brings together Mount Charles colleagues from across our catering sites, hospitality, and facilities teams to showcase their creativity, raise funds for charity, and celebrate our shared culture of teamwork and community.

Since its launch, the Great MC Bake Off has grown year on year, becoming one of the highlights of the Mount Charles events calendar. You can read more about our community initiatives on our Corporate Social Responsibility page.

Record Entries and Outstanding Talent

This year saw 11 finalists from across the business, with an impressive range of cakes, traybakes, and showstoppers. The standard was exceptional, and our panel of class judges had their work cut out tasting and scoring each bake.

After much deliberation, Marcella from Procurement was crowned this year’s Bake Off winner, with Ash from Marketing taking the runner-up spot. Both delivered outstanding bakes that impressed with flavour, presentation, and originality.

Supporting Cancer Focus Northern Ireland

This year’s Bake Off was held in support of our nominated charity,Cancer Focus Northern Ireland — an organisation that provides vital cancer support services, research, and awareness programmes across the region.

We were delighted to welcome Eoin, who attended on behalf of the charity to meet the team and share more about their incredible work.

Mount Charles is proud to be partnering with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland throughout 2025 and 2026, with a series of fundraising events and charity initiatives planned to support their mission. Keep an eye on our News section for updates on upcoming events and ways to get involved.

Celebrating Team Spirit and Community

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who baked, judged, donated, and supported this year’s event. The Great MC Charity Bake Off continues to bring our people together in the spirit of creativity, community, and giving back.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s Bake Off — and to continuing our fundraising partnership with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland in the months ahead.
