Team MC Brave the Elements in Support of those Experiencing Homelessness Across NI
Mount Charles colleagues took part in the One Big Sleep Out at Stormont, raising awareness and funds for Simon Community.
On Friday 10th October, Mount Charles colleagues Stacey McAlister, Jordan Monteith, and Christopher Roden-Telford took part in the One Big Sleep Out at Stormont, raising awareness and funds for those experiencing homelessness in Northern Ireland.
The event saw participants gather on the grounds of Stormont under chilly autumn skies, spending the night outdoors to experience, even briefly, the challenges faced by people without a safe place to call home. The One Big Sleep Out is an annual initiative by Simon Community NI that brings together supporters from across Northern Ireland to raise vital funds while highlighting the tireless work of the charity in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of society.
The Simon Community NI has been a valued client of Mount Charles for many years, with our team providing cleaning services across their sites. Taking part in the sleep out allowed our colleagues to engage with the charity in a more personal and meaningful way, beyond their day-to-day professional relationship.
Reflecting on the experience, Stacey said:
