The Belfast Business Promise is an innovative accreditation that recognises employers who lead the way in corporate responsibility and social value. Open to all Belfast-based employers, the initiative encourages businesses to demonstrate their commitment to positive change through eight key pledges:

- Work in partnership with local communities
- Protect the environment and promote sustainability
- Offer opportunities into work
- Support the local and social economy
- Pay promptly
- Recruit inclusively
- Improve training, engagement, and employee well-being
A Journey Towards Responsible Business Leadership
Each organisation begins as a Supporter and can progress to Member status by demonstrating success in at least five of the eight pledges. Businesses that sign up receive ongoing, tailored support from the Belfast Business Promise team — including access to best-practice resources, peer learning sessions, and a network of like-minded employers committed to responsible business growth.
