If so, then this is the competition for you! Mount Charles & SuperValuNI bring you the 2019/2020 Big School Cook Off!
The Mount Charles Big School Cook Off is open to post primary school pupils aged between 11-14 and schools across every county in Northern Ireland plus Donegal are welcome to enter!
The Competition
To enter simply nominate a team of two from your school to submit a short video (no longer than 2 minutes) introducing themselves & a creative recipe idea for a main course with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Students should consider giving a brief background to their recipe ingredients & how the recipe is cooked. The judging panel will then review the video entries and create a shortlist based on the video / recipes, following this shortlisting the successful country finalists will;
– be invited to take part in a regional cookery demonstration at their local SuperValu store.
– be invited to represent their county and school at the Finals in March 2020 at Belfast Metropolitan College (Titanic Quarter).
You can enter more than one team if you like increasing your chances of your school making it to the regional heats!
Big School Cook Off Finalists
All county finalists will receive a Big School Cook Off Certificate and an invite to the March 2020 finals
Each county finalist will receive a plaque.
All county finalists will receive a personalised Cook / Chefs Jackets to wear at the final
The regional finals will be judged on the day, and the winning team from each heat will go forward to once again cook their recipe for an esteemed panel of judges at the grand final of the competition.
